# What is ZERG?

Token distribution is broken.

Access is uneven. Liquidity is poorly handled. And most users are forced into bad decisions the moment a token goes live.

ZERG fixes that.

## What **ZERG** is

ZERG is a blockchain-based platform that changes the way digital assets are distributed at creation and redistributed after success.

On ZERG, tokens are distributed through what we call Token Box Offerings, or TBOs.

When participating in a TBO, users purchase and open loot boxes of various rarities, ranging from common to legendary. Each box contains a varying amount of tokens as a percentage of the supply being distributed for that offering.

It does not matter if you buy the first box or the last one. Each offering has a unique distribution that is generated at creation. Box outcomes are deterministic. Allocation is provably fair.

## Two Types of Offerings

ZERG supports two types of Token Box Offerings:

#### Redistribution Box Offering (RBO)

Used for existing, already tradable tokens.

Supply is distributed across one or more campaigns without pushing tokens directly into the market. No forced sell pressure. No hidden exits.

#### Initial Box Offering (IBO)

Used to launch new tokens.

After the sale, users choose to either claim their tokens, or cash them out for SOL.

This happens before trading begins, so liquidity is handled up front.
